All aboard the SS Acquaint

The people you meet on a cruise

As we move into May, the famous Australian sun leaves us behind for another Melbourne winter.

But not all of us.

Some of us are just jetting off for our biannual 10-day cruise along the French Riviera – with our Acquaint carer by our side, of course.

In fact, you might even run into some fellow Acquaint clients during your sails. How would you know? Here’s a little taste of the company we keep.

Mr and Mrs Beauregard: The elegant duo

You know Mr Beauregard, what with his impeccably groomed moustache and straight-brimmed top hat. Which means you must know his dressed-to-the-nines other half, Mrs Beauregard.

They’re the epitome of elegance, sipping champagne on the deck while regaling their crowd of admirers with stories of their glamorous past.

And right next to them? Their Acquaint carer, chatting to the kitchen staff to ensure their steak hasn’t been cooked a minute past medium-rare and checking with housekeeping that the towel warmer in their room has, indeed, been turned on.

Captain Archibald: The adventure seeker

As a retired sea captain, Captain Archibald is in no shortage of tales from the high seas. Nor is he short on his adventurous spirit.

So, unsurprisingly, his is the first hand up to explore hidden coves or trial the local cuisine at every dock.

The second hand up belongs to his Acquaint carer, who is just as hungry for excitement as he is. (As long as the detailed itinerary created specifically for their safety is followed to the T.)

Lady Penelope: The social butterfly

Lady Penelope needs no introduction. Because we’re sure she’s already introduced herself to you.

The life of the party, Lady Penelope charms everyone she meets with her wit and class. She thrives on social interactions and loves any chance to bring up husbands 1 through 3 (although even she agrees that number 4 was rather dull).

Keeping all her global social engagements in check? Well, it’s none other than her trusty Acquaint carer, of course.

Mr Reginald: The quiet observer

You may have walked past Mr Reginald on your morning stroll along the top deck. He was the one staring out into the horizon, watching the waves in quiet contemplation.

When he goes on a cruise, it’s to observe the world around him. And to take in all the sights and sounds of worlds yonder.

But, of course, even he keeps his Acquaint carer close by. Ready to hand him a set of binoculars or a Leica camera at the drop of a hat.

Our private home care services go beyond traditional offerings. Our passionate team is here to help you live life your way. So if you’re in need of a companion for your next trip away (locally or abroad), call us on 03 9267 9090.
