Many of our clients receive premium private live in home care and manage comfortably with one carer over a 24-hour period, with carers working a couple of days in a row. Ideally, you’ll have a consistent team of live in carers who rotate throughout the week to ensure quality care without interruption. This traditional care service is charged in blocks, not hourly.

If your care needs become more complex and one carer can’t get sufficient rest, we’ll move to an active care model. Our active care option involves rotating teams providing direct care in two shifts over a 24 hour period, ensuring round-the-clock attention for those with high care needs.

Traditional live in care

Our traditional private live in care services follow a block-based model. Carers live in for the 24 hour period and typically work for eight hours, rest for eight, and remain on-call overnight. This model works well for older people with moderate care needs who want to stay independent in familiar surroundings.

For those needing more support, our active care services involve two shifts over a 24 hour period, ensuring you receive more hands on care. These structured rotations ensure staff are available for longer periods of hands on work - for those that need more than 8 hours of having someone actively with them.
